The Pink Project
Supplies for chemotherapy, and plain talk about breast cancer, for women being treated at UCH.
02The Story
chemotherapy sessions supplied
Chemotherapy is a long road, and each session carries costs beyond the drugs. During Breast Cancer Awareness Month we donate supplies to the Oncology Unit at UCH and bring a specialist to answer the questions patients carry with them.
Covering the supplies keeps treatment on schedule for women who could not afford a delay.
- We donate the supplies the Surgical Oncology Unit needs for chemotherapy sessions.
- A consultant surgeon gives a health talk on preventing complications.
- Online, we run a month of facts, tweet chats and webinars on early detection.
