Privacy Policy
SmileBuilders Initiative respects your privacy and follows the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023. This policy covers this website and its forms.
What this website collects
Very little. The site has no advertising and no tracking scripts, and it does not set cookies.
Forms
When you use the contact form, comment on a post or join the newsletter, we receive what you type: your name, email, and phone number if you give one, plus your message or comment. We store it securely on Cloudflare and forward messages to our team mailbox. We use it only to reply to you, to moderate and show your comment (your email is never shown), or to send the newsletter you asked for.
Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes standard technical data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. We keep a one-way scrambled form of your IP address with a comment, only to stop spam.
How long we keep it
Messages are kept for up to 12 months. Comments stay while the post is online. Newsletter details stay until you unsubscribe, which you can do in one click from any email.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or object to how we use it. Write to info@smilebuildersinitiative.org and we will respond within the time the law allows. You can also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
Health information
Please do not send private health details through this website. If you need medical help, contact a hospital or your doctor.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top will change too.
